El Paso's Jennifer Han Set for IFBA Title Challenge March 23

“El Paso’s Sweetheart” Jennifer Han will challenge Ji Hye Woo March 23 for Woo’s IFBA world Featherweight title. The bout will take place in Gun San City, South Korea and will be televised live throughout Korea.

Han, 10-2-1, is a Korean-American, born and raised in El Paso, Tx. This will be her first world title fight and her first fight in Korea. While Woo has the more experienced record, 13-2-0, Han brings to the world title stage an extensive amateur record with two USA National wins and three Golden Gloves titles. Her brother Abraham Han is also a professional boxer, currently sporting a 20-1 record. This is the first time a Korean American boxer has fought a world title fight in Korea since former IFBA world champion Kim Messer fought in Korea a decade ago and helped popularize women’s boxing there.
